Short with no rhymes

The darkness feels terribly noisy, it eats me.

I’m nothing but a single pale kitten, bold and naked.

Why did they do that to me?

I wanted to leave, I planned to take a nap that wouldn\'t end —

But the man left before I got the chance

And the women forced me to sign a contract.

Now I\'ve got to stay and write this poem

Short with no rhymes.

And hopefully, each word I drop as a spit on one\'s grave

Might make the stains vanish within a day.
