Overcoming it

In the shadows it lies, A demon that lurks and spies, Watching, waiting with bated breath, To strike and bring forth its death.

In the darkness it dwells, A creature born of infernal hells, Its eyes glowing with wicked fire, Its presence filling one with dire.

Its whispers are like a poison, Sowing seeds of fear and erosion, Tainting thoughts with its corruption, Leaving one lost in its disruption.

The demon that lurks is cunning, Deceiving and manipulating, Twisting the truth and corrupting the pure, Until one is left unsure.

Beware of the demon that lurks, For it feeds on your fears and quirks, And if you\'re not careful and alert, It will consume you without remorse or hurt.

Stay vigilant and stay true, And the demon that lurks will never ensue, For you are strong and you are wise, And its power over you will surely demise.
